With all the ingredients for a perfect Saturday afternoon, Zuma’s new brunch has the atmosphere, the service and – most importantly – the food to guarantee the very best time.

The Luxury Of Fab Food, Super Service & Time With Friends at Zuma

zuma brunch

No doubt you’ll already know Zuma. This iconic restaurant is a firm fave on the Dubai dining scene and for good reason – attracting all the city’s movers and shakers with its classy setting and fabulous menu (oh that miso marinated black cod…).

Well now there’s yet another reason to visit, with the re-launched baikingu brunch, every Saturday from 12.30pm – 4pm, a sophisticated take on the traditional Japanese izakaya experience centered around lots of shareable plates – perfect with friends, family or for a date with the other half.

We know what you’re thinking – another brunch, what’s to be excited about? Well, plenty actually – this is brunch on a whole new level with free-flowing champagne (other drinks packages are available), the perfect mix of at-table and help yourself food and the beautifully serene surroundings of this stellar Japanese spot.

Once seated at your table (past the never-ending sushi and sashimi counter), Zuma’s charming wait-staff will attend to your every whim – bringing you dishes they think you may have missed from the food stations, treating you to something special the chef rustled up and taking orders for your main courses – oh while ensuring that your glass is always topped up.

Brunch starts with the most decadent selection of oysters and nibbles as you peruse the menu – and then it’s onto a feast of the freshest fish, beautiful salads, dim sum and hot starters at live sushi and robata counters where chefs prepare the most precise cuts and grills sizzle.

And just when you think it really can’t get much better – it does. The baikingu brunch features a choice of main courses that are all so good it’s almost impossible to choose. Think grilled seabass with chili and ginger, jumbo tiger prawns with yuzu pepper, spicy beef tenderloin with sesame, red chili and sweet soy, roasted lobster with shiso ponzu butter and a waguy ribeye to die for. Oh and the miso marinated black cod, of course.

A fusion of traditional Japanese and contemporary flavours, every plate is a work of art. Be sure to save space for dessert which is a help yourself affair at a table laden with the sweetest delicacies (if you’re not sure what to go for then your waiter can bring you a selection, just make sure that the oozy chocolate pudding is included).

Whether you’re already a Zuma fan or you fancy yourself as a sushi aficionado who loves a beautiful brunch, this is the one for you. We dined without our little darlings but children are very much welcome – particularly little foodies who behave well (there are no dedicated kiddie activities here but practicing with chopsticks is always fun).

High-end but super relaxed, the baikingu brunch was pure heaven – we can’t wait to do it again.
