Is there anything better than eating al-fresco? Whether on a rooftop under the stars, on a terrace overlooking the city or with a view of the ocean, every option comes with a huge side of magic. Lucky for us, Dubai has plenty of absolutely beautiful places to dine outdoors – so many that choosing the perfect one can be tricky. We’ve put together our current faves so hurry and get booking before summer creeps in….

Mare by Bussola

A little taste of the Italian Riviera in Dubai, Mare by Bussola’s boho vibe is beautifully laid back and sophisticated in equal measure. Book a table for lunch or brunch and you’ll be able to make use of the pool and swim-up bar too (worth it just to get a cute pic in front of the adorable blue and white striped changing huts). The restaurant’s Italian chef creates Italian light bites including pizza, pasta and gnocchi but there’s also a big emphasis on seafood – the oysters are divine and the fritto misto some of the best we’ve ever tried. Bellissimo!

Nobu By The Beach

If you thought Nobu couldn’t get much better – it just did – with its most recent Atlantis The Royal location overlooking the ocean and very first beach and pool club in Dubai. The restaurant’s delicious Japanese-Peruvian bites, sharing platters and signature dishes taste even better when seated on one of the most beautiful terraces in town.

Tiki’s Rooftop – Canary Club

As its names suggests, Tiki’s Rooftop at the Canary Club brings you all the vibes of a Polynesian style beach bar – but on a rooftop. Filled with lush foliage and pretty twinkly lights, the setting is magical (surrounded by city skyscrapers) and the vibe mega chilled – whether you’re out on a date or with friends, for snacks or a full meal (or simply a cocktail or five – we won’t judge) you can guarantee it’ll be heaps of fun. The menu is Japanese-Mexican with the occasional Tahitian twist. Yummy.

Cala Vista Jumeirah Mina A Salam

Oh hello Burj Al Arab backdrop and chic Italian vibe. Cala Vista is Jumeirah Mina A’Salam’s newest hotspot, offering an authentic taste of Italy created by Head Chef Luca Crostelli (think carefully crafted pasta and pizza, heavenly ‘Secondi’ and the very best ingredients from beautiful burrata to the tastiest tomatoes).  And then there’s the setting – just gorgeous, whether for an aperitivo, sundowner or Italian feast.

Bordo Mavi

Dubai’s newest seafood spot – brought to you by the very same fabulous team as 3Fils – is an absolute foodie haven. The interiors are gorgeous but the veranda overlooking Jumeiah fishing harbour is the perfect place from which to watch the world go by over a  plate of the freshest fish, sustainably sourced seafood and bread from the charcoal oven. See you there.
