As much as we love a pamper or treat from time to time, it’s only fair that our dogs get in on the action as well. Whether that’s booking a staycay with them in mind, having a pawsome breakfast with chums, or simply opting for a doggy spa afternoon, we have you covered!
1. Check Out Pawdy Neighbours
Picture the scene: You’re enjoying a lovely coffee and a chat with friends while your beloved pooch is being pampered at the dedicated pet spa in the room next to you; that’s what this charming bistro is offering. Pawdy Neighbours has been designed with the pet in mind first, so you’ll find the eatery full of little touches that takes their needs into account. Oh and the menu for humans is pretty good too!
2. Staycay Like A Royal
“No dog left behind!” That’s right, you can now bring your pet with you for your well-earned staycay with an increasing number of hotels and lodges catering for the whole family. In Dubai, bookmark the Radisson Red Dubai Silicon Oasis, Ink Hotel and Hatta JA Fort Hotel, or if you want to travel further afield, in Ras Al Khaimah, the Hilton Beach Resort has recently launched dog-friendly rooms. These specially reserved chalets feature direct access to a 500m-long private beach, and there is even a “Bone Appetit” room service menu.
3. Treat Them To Some New ‘Fits
It’s always nice to get a new outfit, right? We think the same applies to our furry friends too. While it’s too hot to kit them out in jumpers or raincoats (imagine the cuteness, though) why not opt for a new collar and leash set, or a bandana? Check out homegrown brands, such as Howl and Growl, to shop their beautiful luxe accessories range or Auggie’s Attire for adorable bows and seasonal-themed products and accessories.
4. Groom at Home
If you really want to treat your dog, there’s nothing more relaxing than a pamper session in the comfort of their own home. Let’s face it, not many pups appreciate the car journey or stress of a new place, and there are now so many home grooming services available in Dubai. Shampooch is one of the most well-known businesses offering this ‘convenience on wheels’ service, but we’ve heard good things about Pets in The City (yes, it does give off a SATC vibe from its logo!) and Miss Meow as well.
5. Grab A Pupcake!
You have to visit Happy Bark Day, Dubai’s ‘premium pet dessert shop’ if you want to get in your dog’s good graces. Treat them to a puppuccino and one of the many sweet treats on offer, or check out the range of nutritionally balanced meals in this pastel-coloured haven. Humans are welcome to grab a coffee from the self-service area, but really, this is a place for your pet to forget about their ‘doggy diet’ and indulge!
