Launched by Australian expatriate, Rachel Weyler, in early 2018 after identifying a gap in the market for affordable, easily approachable designer wear, The Mode operates on a rent-love-return model.

Simply browse the user-friendly website by designer, occasion or category, pick up to five dresses for either three or seven days, pay online and the dresses will be delivered to your doorstep by the next morning, and picked up for dry cleaning on completion of the lease term.

With prices starting from just AED 99, The Mode’s vast wardrobe collection includes both Australian and international favourites, such as Zimmerman, Self Portrait, Alice McCall, Maurie & Eve, Kookai, Bec & Bridge, Badgley Mischka and Rat & Boa.

On the idea behind The Mode, Rachel said, “After living in Dubai for four years, I found I was spending a fortune on outfits I would only wear once or twice. I take great pride in what I wear, and I didn’t want to sacrifice quality for quantity just to remain on top of the elaborate Dubai social scene. My friends and I started swapping clothes between us, and the idea just seemed to blossom from there. We all had a love for the same approachable yet still luxury designer labels, but found them hard to source in the UAE. Thus, The Mode was born.”
