DIDI hosts free Inspiration to Iteration Workshop on Saturday 28 April 2018
Discover everything there is to know about working in the fashion industry and the skills you need to stand out from the crowd at Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation’s Fashion Design 101 – Inspiration to Iteration workshop on Saturday 28 April.
Led by ethical fashion designer, researcher, writer, educator and Dean of Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation, Sass Brown, the two-hour workshop for high school students will give young budding fashion designers a glimpse into working in the world of fashion and the opportunity to pick up tips and tricks to kick start their careers in fashion.
The workshop, designed for pre-college students, will run from 10:30am – 12:30pm at DIDI’s campus in the mega studio, located in Dubai’s Design District (d3 – Building 4) and will take attendees through the process of designing a fashion collection, as well as the various market categories in fashion and how the variety of research can inspire the development of a collection.
Sass Brown will also discuss the important steps of building a color palette, applying inspiration to designs and using design iteration to merchandise a line, offering an ideal insight into the world of fashion for those considering pursuing university studies in design, including DIDI’s Bachelor of Design.
