Dior Grand Bal Roadshow in Dubai Mall

Dior presents the ‘Grand Bal Roadshow’ at Dubai Mall until 15 June.

The new Dior Grand Bal watch series, which includes the Inversé 11 ½ caliber, is on show from 1 to 15 June at the Christian Dior Boutique in Dubai Mall.

The oscillating weight of the watches in the series is inspired by the twirling of a glamorous ballgown. The movement and dynamic of such dresses was always one of Christian Dior’s great personal passions. Christian Dior wrote in his memoirs:

“Events of this order are true works of art. They are desirable, necessary and important if they restore the taste and meaning of authentic celebration,”

Several haute couture looks designed by the couturier and his successors and reproduced in a reduced scale by the House’s expert petites main, will be simultaneously displayed Dior Grand Bal Broderie Anglaise

The Dior Grand Bal collection is now enriched with a new feminine and romantic aesthetic.

Inspired by broderie anglaise, the timepiece is adorned with a delicate layer of pink gold, yellow gold and mother of pearl lase set with diamonds.

Its extremely precious 36 mm case polished pink gold is set with baguette cut diamonds on the bezel and a rose cut diamond on the crown.

Its dial, in a white mother of pearl, perfectly expresses this model’s softness and refinement.

This model has a limited edition of 88 pieces.

Dior Grand Bal Plume

The Dior Grand Bal collection is now enriched with a new model uniting the feather-making know-how specific to Haute Couture with watchmaking technology.

Graceful and delicate, feathers are being enhanced more than ever, combined for the first time ornamental stone dials in a polished steel case.

Designed in two versions, the one adorned with a malachite dial, highlighted in yellow gold and tsavorite garnets, the other one with aventurine dial matched with pink gold and pink sapphires, the Dior Grand Bal Plume is equipped with an automatic movement exclusive to the Maison Dior the “Dior Inversé 11 ½” calibre, featuring a patented and functional oscillating weight placed on the top of the dial that reproduces the swirl of a ball gown.

Two models elaborated with great delicacy, in echo of precious petticoat embroidered with gold, feathers and precious stones. This model has a limited edition of 88 pieces.
