Christie’s will host exclusive exhibition view of luxury time pieces at Ritz Carlton DIFC from 10 to 11 October 2017.
Christie’s will be the auctioneer of choice for ONLY WATCH 2017, organized by L’Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies, offering 49 watches during the afternoon of Saturday 11 November at the Four Seasons – Hôtel des Bergues in Geneva as a stand-alone event.
All watches in the auction will be exhbited at a preview open to the public from 10.00 to 18.00 at the Ritz Carlton DIFC.
All 49 watches are now revealed and can be consulted under www.onlywatch.com. Notable participating brands include Audemars Piguet, Blancpain, Boucheron, Breguet, Chanel, Chopard, Chronoswiss, Fabergé, Harry Winston, Hermès, Hublot, Louis Vuitton, Montblanc, Patek Philippe, Piaget, Tag Heuer, Tudor, Ulysse Nardin. ONLY WATCH is bringing together the most renowned houses as well as independent brands expressing, through variations of exceptional timepieces, their creativity and willingness to help and support a very good cause. In 2017, a new emphasis will be placed on unique experiences and collaborations offered by some of the brands alongside their watches.
Under the patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, and at the initiative of Luc Pettavino, President of L’Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies, ONLY WATCH is the world’s foremost charity auction entirely devoted to the research of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Since 2005, more than 26 million euros have been raised to finance research in this field. “Only Watch 2017 is a time for all parts of the watch world to come together and celebrate all that is good about the modern watch industry: innovation, technical know-how, creativity, and most importantly the desire to give back to the global community in thisexceptional charity event. Ahead of the auction in November, the 49 pieces will be exhibited in Dubai on 9 to 11 at the Ritz Carlton DIFC.
All proceeds of the auction will be entirely donated to scientific and medical research on neuromuscular diseases in general and on Duchenne muscular dystrophy in particular. Thanks to many loyal partners, who graciously bring their know-how and support towards ONLY WATCH, all auction proceeds will be submitted for research matters.
