A new-age revival defines the Chloé collection for spring summer 2019 as Natacha Ramsay-Levi invokes the subliminal pull of hippie modernism.
Walk through the Chloé Spring-Summer 2019 collection…
A quintessentially boho chic vibe resonates throughout this collection which is inspired from Ibiza to Morocco.
To the distinctly Chloé-esque use of chiffons, delicate pleats, flowing cottons and soft pastel hues of the Morrocan riads and Balearic coastline, Natacha Ramsay-Levi adds floral prints, chenille knit, plissés, heavily embroidered and Persian rug-like textures.
Short minis and generously flared trousers accentuate this modern take on an embellished late Woodstock vibe while dream-catcher style feathery features evoke a cooler more contemporary festival flow.
In a contrast to the signature lightness of the fabrics, the jewellery is chunky and bold.
Dresses and outfits are adorned with pastel and dark coloured gemstones and a nautical feel is added with the use of delicately and purposefully dishevelled and gold-cased rope-like belts.
The accessories, including the bags and shoes, remain more faithful to a more passe-partout chic suited to everyday wear.
The leather is structured and the colours are bold but still centre around the terre cuite palette of the burnt orange plains of the Burning Man festival and the ochres of the Balearic isles.
The clothes really holler out holidays, festivals and that baba cool, drapey, lanky and above all exquisitely elegant signature Chloé style.
