The Buddha Bar has launched its first permanent beach bar venue on the turquoise shores of the Arabian Gulf at the St Regis Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi.

Following the success of the Buddha Bar’s pop-up bars in the most sought-after beach locations such as Mykonos and Santorini, our sights are set and our expectations are high.

The Concept.

Buddha Bar Beach Abu Dhabi is the ultimate beach bar lounge experience taking you from day to night with a delightful selection of Pacific Rim cuisine dishes, made with the finest ingredients and spices.

When the sun sets, master mixologists dream up fabulous cocktails to enjoy BuddhaBar‘s innovative and avant-garde sound experience.

The Setting.

Set on one of the UAE’s most exclusive and pristine beaches, the Buddha Bar Beach overlooks a site of unique and natural wild beauty.

You access Buddha Bar Beach through the grandiose and luxurious St Regis Saadiyaat and you must meander through the lush pathways and gardens of the St Regis down to the Buddha Bar, which sits is right on the beach.

The generous and well-planned deck looks onto the open expanse of turquoise sea and beach. The Buddha Bar Beach’s position offers unadulterated 5 star views of the sunset over Saadiyat.

The restaurant is open from lunch through the evening although we highly recommend the sundowner slot for an unmissable experience.

The Food.

Be prepared to be wowed by Chef Efo Zulfikar!

Buddha Bar’s Pacific Rim menu with Pan-Asian, Californian and European influences combines fresh products, subtle flavours and spices from around the world. The style is based on a concept of sharing meals.

The Entrées & Mains.

We loved the Buddha Bar signature Chicken Salad. With 5 spices, Napa cabbage and sesame based Buddha-Bar sauce – it is zingy and delicious. We also recommend the Vietnamese Beef Salad with delectable beef tenderloin lemongrass, mint, carrot and bean sprouts.

And for mains you have to try the Buddha Bar Beach platter ‘King of the Beach’ complete with oysters, King Crab legs, razor clams, ceviche martinis, sashimi, nigiri and 20 pieces of signature sushi rolls!

Another must is the Wagyu Beef with Shiso chimichurri, baby corn, sweet rocoto sauce from the Buddha Bar’s famous Robato Grill. Don’t forget to try the Robato grilled asparagus too!

The Desserts.

We could not get enough of the White Chocolate Dome with candied pineapple nor the Coconut & mango blancmange. However, the showstopper is the Chocolate Fondant, which is divine!

The Atmosphere.

The warm and pleasant Pacific atmosphere and the restaurant’s attentive and friendly waiting staff help create a highly relaxing ambiance, which is subtly enhanced by the music carefully selected by the resident DJs.
