‘Signs and Symbols of the Italian Renaissance: Decoding the World’s Greatest Cultural Boom’ – an art Italian Renaissance history course starting from Wednesday 4 October 2017 at XVA Gallery with Rose Balston, Founding Director of Art History UK and Art History UAE.

Rose Balston is based part-time in Dubai as a freelance lecturer, guide and art consultant. She co-presented “Fake! The Great Masterpiece Challenge” alongside Giles Coren, which released in March 2017, and has commentated for BBC Breakfast, Sky News and Al-Jazeera. With an MA in art history from Edinburgh University, Rose is Condé Nast Traveller London Art Expert.

Beyond delivering courses, gallery visits and lectures in the UAE and wider Gulf, Rose designs and leads high-end European cultural trips.

Her clients include the V&A, Montblanc, Young Presidents Organization, a range of top private members’ clubs and Britain’s leading schools, and guests of Claridge’s, the Connaught, Dorchester, Savoy, Four Seasons, Goring and the Intercontinental.

Eight sessions weekly, starting from Wednesday 4 October from 10.00 to 12.00. Arrival coffee, tea and cakes from 9.30. Each session can be taken individually. You can pick and choose according to your interests. Should you sign up for all eight, you will leave with a thorough understanding of the Italian Renaissance (and it will be considerably cheaper). There will be no repetition over the different sessions.

AED 250 per session, or AED 200 if you purchase all eight in one payment (total AED 1,600). This includes tea, coffee and biscuits supplied by the XVA Café.
